Wonka Bars

Today I was craving chocolate so I walked over to the Walgreens by my work and started browsing the chocolate aisle. To my surprise Wonka Bars were on sale! 2/$3! Score! I decided to test out my luck and purchase two to double my chance of winning that golden ticket. I believe it took Charlie two tries!!!

Long time no post

So recently I signed up for a yelp account. Finally! Now I can be a real meanie and comment on the eateries that I visited in SF!! My life has a purpose now! Yelp also renewed my reasoning for going out to eat as much as I do!

In terms of food news, I been retired from the kitchen for the last four months. That territory is strictly MAMA LEI's construction zone.

BENTO BOX CREATIONS

NOW that I'm interning from 8am-4pmish twice a week, I need to start bring lunch to work.

Bring lunch during my DC days were pretty standard, left overs from the night before, pasta, rice, salads or sandwiches. I like to mix it up now and again with the staples. However, nowadays living with my parents mean that my daily staple will be jasmine rice. HAHA. Not that great. During my college days I swear I was jasmine rice deficient, now I have it at every meal. How the times have changed. Anyhow back to the point of the post. I think a great way for me to spice up my left overs will be making it into edible pieces of art! Who said we are too old to play with our food? They got nothing on this!

Philz Coffee & Mint Coffee Mojito! :)

Today I had the best thing ever for a mundane sunny Wednesday afternoon...

an ice coffee mojito!

It was the only ice drink on the menu that I saw, but it was simply delicious!

So I don't image this to be too hard to replicate, I should try it at home.

Ingredients:

Mint leaves 1 oz
Soy Milk or any type of milk + whatever sweetener (Honey, Brown sugar, white sugar, whatever your poison!)
Ice 1/2 cup
coffee or milk tea
*optional: Rum, Bailey, Starbucks Liquor for the over 21!

I think I might also add boba to this just for kicks! I'll post pics as soon as I find time to replicate this.
